The Mathathon v1.0 is an exciting all purpose math learning game for 1 or two players. This game simulates a talking spelling bee except that the subject is math. Children will be able to play with parents, friends or siblings. This program makes use of Apple’s new Speech Manager so it should be compatible with most Macintoshes. Educational Computer Resources will not guarantee any Shareware until it is registered and paid for!
The MathaThon will ask either Player one or Player two to answer a math equation. Each player has a separate score board and timer. The game is a very exciting and creative way for children to learn math.
The user will have complete control of the math equations. Choose either Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication or Division. This program has controls for setting both the starting number and factor. It is possible to work with numbers from 1 to 100,000. Having control over the starting number allows for unlimited flexibility. Children can practice adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing with families of one, tens, hundreds thousands, ten thousands or what ever combination you set up. This program includes a very strong division lesson.

2- Macintalk Setup Dialog which allows users to choose the macintalk system voice. (The voice list must be in the system’s extension folder for this feature to work!)

This America Online version is completely functional. You will be able to add comments, select factors and work with an unlimited number range. However the subtraction, multiplication and division index have been disabled.
